PALESTINE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a woman was found dead along Interstate 40 in eastern Arkansas.

Arkansas State Police say a truck driver spotted the body Wednesday morning east of a rest area at Palestine then called police. State police say the body was lying in an outside lane of the interstate.

Investigators are now working to identify the woman and determine how she died. State police say the victim is white, small in stature and between the ages of 25 and 35. She had a tattoo on her arm of a rose and three girls’ names. Cowboy boots were discovered near the body.
