PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A 24-year-old man who broke into a Portland home and raped a woman was sentenced Wednesday to 27 years in prison.
Dechavien J. Parks had been convicted in Multnomah County Circuit Court of attempted aggravated murder and rape for the 2013 attack on the 18-year-old.
The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/aVHOfa ) Parks didn’t know the victim but had been to her house earlier in the day as a friend of one of her relatives.
