NEW YORK (AP) - The head of the FBI’s New York office says the agency is working with partners in the law enforcement and intelligence communities to assess the validity of the alleged threat against U.S. subways.

George Venizelos (veh-nih-ZAY’-lohs) said Thursday that the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and the NYPD remain committed to protecting New York City.
