LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Crews performing pavement research on Interstate 630 in Little Rock will need to close a lane on the highway next week.

The state Highway and Transportation Department said Friday that lanes would be closed overnight next Tuesday night.

The department said crews will be taking pavement samples from the eastbound, outside lane of Interstate 630 between Baptist Hospital and University Avenue.

The area is just east of the construction area at the Big Rock interchange, where interstates 430 and 630 meet. Plans are in place to expand parts of I-630 later.
