KEAAU, Hawaii (AP) - Volunteer attorneys will be lending their legal expertise to Puna residents struggling with the aftermath of a tropical storm and an approaching lava flow.

The Hawaii State Bar Association, Hawaii County Bar Association, West Hawaii Bar Association and the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii are teaming up to conduct free legal clinics on Saturday.

The clinics will be held at Keaau High School and the Mountain View Gym.

The attorneys will offer legal help with issues such as tree damage, insurance claims and renter’s rights.

Puna was hard-hit when Tropical Storm Iselle made landfall over the area last month. Now, Puna residents are bracing for approaching lava from Kilauea volcano.
