BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A judge has set $100,000 bail for a traveling door-to-door solicitor accused of attacking a woman at her Boulder home.

The Daily Camera reports (https://bit.ly/1sLmR3D ) 26-year-old Derick Robert Tappe’s bail was set Monday, and he is scheduled to be formally charged Wednesday.

Tappe, who was arrested last week, was working for a Colorado-based company whose employees travel around the country selling magazine subscriptions and seeking donations.

A woman told investigators a man soliciting for a charity knocked on her door Wednesday evening, pushed his way in and began groping her. Police say she went to get some money, thinking he would get him to leave, but he followed her and attacked her.

Detectives believe Tappe visited other homes on the woman’s street that day, and they are investigating if anyone else was victimized.
