NEW BALTIMORE, Mich. (AP) - A 14-year-old boy is being treated for burns to his face and body after the boat he was on exploded and caught fire on Bouvier Bay in Lake St. Clair.

The Times Herald of Port Huron reports (https://bwne.ws/1qOUNVf ) Monday that a 15-year-old girl and a 37-year-old woman also suffered burns Saturday after the explosion east of New Baltimore and northeast of Detroit.

The newspaper reports that the 40-year-old owner of the 28-foot cabin cruiser was not hurt.

Each of the four people on the boat jumped into the water as the flames spread. They were helped from the bay by operators of nearby boats.

The explosion is under investigation.
