COVINA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say one man is under arrest and four people were taken to hospitals after a fight led to the release of pepper spray inside a suburban Los Angeles Home Depot store.

Los Angeles County fire officials say 12 people were exposed to the pepper spray Monday at the Home Depot in Covina and four were hospitalized. All of the injuries were minor.

Covina police Lt. Dave Foster says 38-year-old Fernando Rivera was in a dispute with a former business partner he had run into inside the store and shot him with the pepper spray

Foster says Rivera was arrested both for shooting the pepper spray and for carrying a canister of it that is above the 2.5-ounce legal limit. It’s not clear whether he’s hired attorney.
