NORTH BEND, Ore. (AP) - The Coos County, Oregon, sheriff’s office says a search and rescue dog found a missing 5-year-old autistic boy unharmed but stuck in mud at the bottom of a ravine in a wooded area.

KCBY-TV reports https://is.gd/mTET9k ) that the boy’s family called the sheriff’s office Sunday afternoon to say the child was last seen walking into woods. Deputies joined the Coast Guard, Coos County Search And Rescue and Hauser firefighters for a search.

The sheriff’s office says the dog found the boy after about an hour. He was returned to his family.
