ATLANTA (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a man convicted in a series of armed robberies has been sentenced to more than 30 years in prison.

U.S. District Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said in a statement Monday that 24-year-old Artavius Brown was sentenced to 32 years in prison for using a firearm during the commission of multiple armed robberies.

Prosecutors say Brown committed 24 robberies at dollar stores and a PNC Bank branch between February and June of 2013. Authorities say Brown occasionally committed multiple robberies on the same day.

Brown is ordered to serve five years of supervised release and pay $4,509 in restitution.
