A Twitter user tricked Donald Trump on Monday into tweeting a photo of a serial killer couple, after telling the billionaire it was a photo of his sweet, loving parents.

“Hi @realDonaldTrump,” Phil Bradbury (@feckhead) wrote, Gawker reported. “My parents who passed away always said you were big inspiration. Can you pls RT for their memory?”

Mr. Trump fell for the heartwarming request, unwittingly quoting the tweet, along with a photo of Fred and Rosemary West, who were convicted in England in 1995 for torturing, raping and killing 11 girls.

Mr. Trump deleted the tweet, which had already been retweeted hundreds of times, and threatened to sue over the mixup.

“Some jerk fraudulently tweeted that his parents said I was a big inspiration to them + pls RT—out of kindness I retweeted. Maybe I’ll sue,” he mused.
