BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont woman suspended from her county treasurer job has pleaded guilty to stealing $105,000 from the county courthouse, a parent-child center and a lawyer.

The Burlington Free Press reports (https://bfpne.ws/Z6r30w) Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Waples said Theresa “Terri” Blow of South Hero would write unauthorized and forged checks to herself and to a carpentry business owned by her husband, Michael Blow. No charges have been filed against him.

Waples said the government is seeking forfeiture of property to offset the estimated loss.

The 65-year-old Blow is scheduled be sentenced Feb. 2.

Blow was a contract bookkeeper with the parent-child center from about 2009 until March. She also was the part-time treasurer in Grand Isle County and worked for a lawyer.
