McMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) - A fire official in McMinnville, Oregon, says a cigarette flicked into a hedge started a fire that damaged at least five vehicles and the exterior of a collision repair building.

Fire Chief Rich Leipfert said 30 firefighters responded Wednesday night. The first crews to arrive were confronted by a wall of flames extending 20 feet into the air along the hedge row. No one was injured.

There was no immediate dollar estimate of the damage.

McMinnville is southwest of Portland.
