ST. LOUIS (AP) - Two St. Louis institutions - the zoo and the symphony - are teaming up for coming concerts and activities.

Officials at the St. Louis Zoo and the St. Louis Symphony say orchestra musicians will perform at 2 p.m. Saturday at the zoo during the St. Louis Children’s Hospital “Just Like You at the Zoo” event. A brass quintet from the symphony will play a selection of music written about and based on animals.

Meanwhile, concerts on Oct. 26, Oct. 28 and Oct. 29 at Powell Hall are based on the John Lithgow book, “Never Play Music Right Next to the Zoo.” Young people can create animal masks, play animal-themed instruments and read information created by zoo staff.
