BALDWIN, La. (AP) - St. Mary Parish authorities say a 13-year-old boy has been arrested after he allegedly injured two teachers.

KATC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1w6MCJ7 ) the child was arrested shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday at B.E. Boudreaux Middle School in Baldwin.

Deputies say he was booked with being an ungovernable juvenile, two counts of simple battery and criminal damage to property.

Investigators say the child allegedly struck one teacher and shoved another. Both teachers received medical treatment at Franklin Foundation Hospital and were released.

Deputies say the child was released to a guardian pending juvenile court action.
