TUPPER LAKE, N.Y. (AP) - A nature center in the Adirondacks has added 50 acres along the Raquette River.

The Press-Republican of Plattsburgh reports (https://bit.ly/1rmip8B ) that the Wild Center triples its space for outdoor programs with the new land. The property adjoins the center’s 31-acre site and includes river frontage, a seasonal building and wetland habitat.

The land was purchased through a group of supporters.

Center Executive Director Stephanie Ratcliffe says the additional land will allow the center to offer more programs on the river and in the woods.
