HAMMOND, La. (AP) - All charges against Hammond Police Officer Jennifer Payne have been rejected.

The Daily Star reports (https://bit.ly/1Byenvk) Payne was arrested on April 30 for allegations of drug offenses.

One of her attorneys, Kristi Holm, said Monday Payne was cleared of any wrongdoing by District Attorney Scott Perrilloux’s office.

Payne’s arrest and the publication of her name and address by the police department led to civil service board proceedings against Police Chief Roddy Devall and Public Information Officer Lt. Vince Giannobile. The board found the men acted in violation of civil service regulations and left the punishment up to Mayor Mayson Foster.

Payne was reinstated after the Civil Service Board began its investigation of the release of her information.
