PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The governor is asking Rhode Island residents to comment on a draft of a statewide economic plan.

The plan features goals and strategies to develop the state’s economy over the next 20 years. The Rhode Island Division of Planning and the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation developed it.

Gov. Lincoln Chafee says he wants to ensure the plan accurately represents the voices of all Rhode Islanders.

The plan is available on the RhodeMap RI website or by visiting the planning division’s statewide planning program office at One Capitol Hill, Providence.

Public hearings are planned for late October in Providence and North Kingstown.
