JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Jersey City Medical Center says a missing computer disk that contained patient information has been found, and no data was compromised.

The disc was sent to a company used by the state to review payments and United Parcel Service failed to deliver it on June 16. The disappearance was made public in August, but officials tell The Jersey Journal (https://bit.ly/1uyVklL) that the disc was delivered earlier this month and was “still sealed in its original packaging.”

Affected patients were notified in letters this week that their personal information - including names, Social Security numbers and possibly birth dates - never ended up in the wrong hands.
