GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. (AP) - A Connecticut man described by prosecutors as a serial child molester has been held without bail in Massachusetts after being charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy.

The Berkshire Eagle (https://bit.ly/1xwmYBe ) reports that a judge Monday ruled that 74-year-old Arturo Bravo was a danger to society.

Bravo lives in New Britain, Connecticut, but has a cabin Becket, Massachusetts. Prosecutors allege he molested the boy twice in recent weeks. He had hired the boy to do odd jobs around the cabin.

Bravo is charged with indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and witness intimidation.

Bravo’s attorney called the latest allegations “double hearsay statements,” and asked that her client be held in home confinement because of his frail condition exacerbated by a recent stroke.

Bravo is also under investigation in Connecticut.
