BENTON, La. (AP) - A Bossier City man accused of stabbing his mother to death will spend the rest of his life in prison.

KTBS-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1pE9iew ) 23-year-old Christopher Holder was formally sentenced today by state District Judge Mike Nerren.

Holder will have no chance at parole or suspension of his sentence.

Last month, a jury found Holder guilty of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his mother, Donna Holder, in November 2011.

Holder’s mental health played a major role in his defense. He was quoted saying that Jesus Christ killed his mother through his eyes.
