IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Police have arrested an Iowa City man who they say stole an electric company truck that was found burned.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports (https://icp-c.com/1rHtrGf ) 19-year-old Justin Johnston was charged last week with felony first-degree theft and aggravated misdemeanor driving while barred.

Police say surveillance video shows Johnston stole the Neumiller Electric truck worth $25,000 on Sept. 18. The truck was later found burned in a ditch roughly 4 miles from Johnston’s home.

He is being held at the Johnson County Jail on $30,000 bond. Online jail records didn’t indicate an attorney.
