DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - Dubuque police have arrested a 19-year-old man who they say knocked over a utility pole with his vehicle while he was intoxicated.

The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1rBhhy8 ) 19-year-old Blake Oyen was arrested Sunday and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with official acts.

Police say he lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole on the opposite side of the road. They say the pole and attached power lines fell into the street.

No injuries were reported.

Alliant Energy says damage to the pole totaled $1,500.

It wasn’t immediately available if Oyen has an attorney.
