LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Police in Lincoln are investigating what they call a “disturbing burglary” after a young woman reported that she woke up to find a strange man in her bed.

The 20-year-old woman told police she woke around 9 a.m. Sunday to find a stranger who had slipped into her home and climbed into her bed, the Lincoln Journal Star reported (https://bit.ly/1sLFZye ). She says when she asked him who he was and why he was there, the man muttered, “I don’t know,” and left.

The woman told police both she and suspect were fully clothed in the bed and that she was not injured or assaulted.

The woman said she and her roommates had a party before the Nebraska-Illinois football game and returned after the game with people they knew.

The woman reported that her cellphone was missing after the man left, Officer Katie Flood said.

Police believe the man entered the home, which is near Memorial Stadium, through an unlocked door. Police continue to search for the man.
