CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - The search for the new president of Southeast Missouri State University is about to begin in earnest.

The Southeast Missourian (https://bit.ly/1wRotqj ) reports that the Parker Executive Search firm will be in Cape Girardeau for three days of meetings with faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members starting Wednesday.

Information gathered during the visit will help guide the search for the replacement of the retiring Kenneth Dobbins. Board of Regents president Doyle Privett says the search will be nationwide. The position will be advertised in education journals and on the search firm’s website.
