PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A 17-year-old boy accused of shooting a man during a fight in Pueblo could face more severe charges now that the victim has died.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports (https://bit.ly/1rEty4X ) the boy, whose name has not been released, was arrested after 37-year-old Clayton Miller was shot in the Mesa Junction area Saturday morning. Miller died at a Denver hospital on Monday.

The boy was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and discharging a firearm. But police Sgt. Eric Gonzales says the district attorney’s office has been reviewing the case since Miller’s death and could upgrade the charges.

The teen is being held at a youth detention facility in Pueblo.
