NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have released quarterback Brad Sorensen from the practice squad after signing him a week ago.
The Titans announced the move Tuesday.
Jake Locker wound up missing a 41-17 loss at Indianapolis because of a sprained right wrist with backup Charlie Whitehurst starting. But rookie Zach Mettenberger had a death in the family, so the Titans added Sorensen to the practice squad Sept. 24 as a precaution. Sorensen had been waived by San Diego in their final preseason roster cuts, and Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt was familiar with him having been the Chargers’ offensive coordinator last season.
Locker is expected to practice Wednesday.
