SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old woman shot while talking to friends in a Syracuse park last week has died from her injuries.

Officials say Jenna Sweeting-Vigliotti died Monday at a Syracuse hospital, where she had been in critical condition since being hit by gunfire late Friday night.

Police say she and a group of female friends were standing outside a car in Kirk Park when shots were fired. No arrests have been reported.

Earlier this month, shots were fired near the park’s basketball courts while a large group of parents and children were having a party after a youth football game. No one was hit by the gunfire.

Police later charged a 23-year-old man with firing the gun.
