CLAYTON, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in southeast Alabama have found the body of a man who has been missing since Sunday.
Barbour County sheriff’s Investigator Jay Brice said the body of 39-year-old Jason Stephenson was found Wednesday in a thickly wooded area. Brice said he was found face-up in a creek bed with very little water in it.
Barbour County Sheriff LeRoy Upshaw tells The Dothan Eagle (https://bit.ly/1u3C8eg) that the cause of death was under investigation, but officials don’t believe foul play is involved.
Brice said an autopsy would be completed to determine the official cause of death.
Authorities said Stephenson had an Enterprise address, but most recently lived and worked in Ozark.
