FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Monsoon storm activity is returning across much of Arizona, with scattered thunderstorms expected Thursday across northern Arizona and again on the weekend.

The National Weather Service says increasing amounts of monsoon moisture are expected to produce numerous showers and thunderstorms in northern Arizona beginning on Saturday.

The forecasters say the storm activity will peak on Sunday and Monday, with a potential for heavy rainfall and local flooding.
