JENNINGS, La. (AP) - Two men and a woman are facing charges after a fight at a Jennings hotel.

Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chris Ivey said Friday that 34-year-old Stephen Howard, of Jennings, and 19-year-old Brannon Deshotel, of Evangeline, got into a fight at a hotel. Ivey tells KPLC-TV (https://bit.ly/1uoMQLz ) that one of the men had a hammer in his hand when deputies arrived Thursday.

Both men sustained injuries. Howard refused medical treatment while Deshotel was taken to an area hospital.

Ivey says Howard and Deshotel each was arrested on attempted manslaughter charges. They’re being held without bond.

Ivey said 20-year-old Rachel Hancock, of Evangeline, was booked on a charge of aggravated assault. She was cited and released on a summons due to lack of jail space.
