SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - A man convicted in the murder of a man whose body was found in a sport utility vehicle at the bottom of a northeastern Pennsylvania ravine has been sentenced to life in prison plus 20 to 40 years.

Twenty-four-year-old Neil Pal was convicted in June of first-degree murder in the death last year of 24-year-old Frank Bonacci.

Prosecutors alleged that he drove Bonacci to an isolated area in Scranton and provided the gun that 24-year-old Jason Dominick used to kill the victim.

Authorities said the two then launched the SUV down a 72-foot ravine with the body inside, where it was found on a ledge above Roaring Brook after a weeklong search.

Dominick was sentenced last month to 40 to 80 years in prison.
