BURLINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Police have arrested a Hillsborough man in connection with a fatal shooting at a motel last month.

Area media outlets report 19-year-old Jahmil Deshawn Ingram was arrested without incident on Thursday at an apartment complex in Mebane.

According to police, two people were shot at the Quality Inn in Burlington on Aug. 31, and 24-year-old David Israel Williams died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators said a large crowd had gathered at the hotel for an after-party following an album listening party. With officers on their way to disperse the crowd, 911 dispatchers told them they had received calls about shots fired.

Ingram faces several charges, including first-degree murder. He is being held without bond in the Alamance County jail and it’s not known if he has an attorney.
