GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Police are seeking a man they believe to be involved in three attacks on women over the past week near the University of Florida campus.

The last attack was reported early Friday by a woman who says a 6-foot-tall man with short brown hair and a beard grabbed her near a school library.

University of Florida police Maj. Brad Barber told The Gainesville Sun (https://bit.ly/1pxAues ) that the woman punched her attacker and ran away.

Police say a woman was beaten on Saturday near campus by a man of a similar description who tried to rape her. Early Sunday another attack occurred when police say a man tried to push a woman into the woods.

Barber says all three ended the attacks by shouting and fighting back to attract attention.
