LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says the speed limit on U.S. Highway 67 in Jacksonville is being reduced because of construction.

The speed limit will be reduced to 55 miles per hour for 1.3 miles.

The highway department says crews will be reconstructing and widening the highway in the area. The work will include replacing bridges over Redmond Road and Main Street and resurfacing associated interchange ramps.
