GRENADA, Miss. (AP) - Three people are in custody after a Friday afternoon bank robbery in Grenada.

The Regions Bank on Sunset Drive was robbed shortly after 1 p.m. WLBT-TV (https://bit.ly/Zczcka) reports that two suspects were arrested shortly after the robbery at trailer, while a third was arrested Friday evening.

During the robbery, police were responding to a bomb threat at a Grenada school.

Grenada school Superintendent David Daigneault says the bomb threat was directed at elementary grades, but school officials also evacuated upper grades.

After lunch, hundreds of children either sat in the stands at a football field or waited outside schools. Around 1:30 p.m., officials deemed the threat false and students returned to classes.

Police aren’t saying if the bomb threat is connected to the bank robbery.
