DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - Police in Davenport have arrested a 26-year-old woman they say had her 3-year-old child with her when she bought heroin.

The Quad-City Times reports (https://bit.ly/1wcC5wd ) that the woman was arrested Wednesday and released the next day from Scott County Jail after posting bond.

Police say they saw the woman get in a car with her 3-year-old daughter on her lap. They say she then bought less than a gram of heroin from the car’s driver. She was stopped by police after she left the car.

The woman is charged with child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance - both misdemeanors.
