DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - Police in Decatur have arrested 10 people in an undercover drug sting.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/1pYuZvu ) that undercover investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s organized crime unit bought illegal drugs from the 10 people over a period of several months. Investigators said they bought marijuana, cocaine, synthetic marijuana and ecstasy.

They then obtained warrants and began arresting suspects early Friday. They range in age from 19 to 40. All of them are either in or will be transferred to the Morgan County jail.

All of the suspects are charged with distribution of a controlled substance, which is a felony that carries a possible sentence of two to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $30,000.

Decatur police say more arrests in the case are pending.
