EPHRATA, Wash. (AP) - The Grant County, Washington, coroner’s office says an 82-year-old Ephrata woman died from what were described as sharp wounds to the neck and chest.

The body of Lucille Moore was found Monday at her home.

The website iFIBER One News reports (https://bit.ly/1uiBdXj) detectives went door-to-door in the neighborhood looking for witnesses to the homicide.

City Administrator Wes Crago says Moore owned several rental properties, and many families in Ephrata rented their first homes from her.
