NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Two teenagers have been arrested in the armed robbery of two University of Delaware students.

Newark police said Wednesday that the robbery happened a half-mile east of campus around 3 a.m. Sunday after two students reported being robbed at gunpoint.

Police say they soon after arrested 19-year-old Orlando Smith on unrelated charges near the scene of the robbery. Police say he was later charged in the robbery based on their investigation. On Wednesday, they arrested 19-year-old Anaya Hakes at her home after a search warrant was conducted.

The teens are charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy. It’s unclear whether they have attorneys to comment on the charges.
