LAS VEGAS (AP) - Clark County is warning residents about the cloud of dust that’s affecting air quality.

Officials said strong, gusty winds from northeast California and northwest Nevada are raising the dust level in the Las Vegas valley to moderate on Wednesday and Thursday.

The dust level is not unhealthy but children, the elderly and those with respiratory diseases should avoid the outdoors. Outdoor exercise should also be limited.

The air quality advisory though Thursday morning has also been sent to construction sites, warning them to avoid blowing even more dust.
