CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - In a story on Feb. 28 about the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department seeking public input on its 10-year game management plan, The Associated Press reported that 91 percent of people surveyed by the department approved of hunting to manage wild game populations and 65 percent approved when trapping was added to the question. The story should have made clear that the trapping language was included in a separate question about managing fur-bearing populations.
