CINCINNATI (AP) - A day care center employee accused of striking a 1-year-old boy in the head with her hand has been charged with child endangerment in southwest Ohio.

Hamilton County court and sheriff’s documents show 19-year-old J’Moni Bonner was charged Tuesday. Bail was set at $7,500. A message seeking comment was left for her attorney Wednesday.

Court documents say Bonner was working at ACCS Early Learning Center in the Cincinnati suburb of Silverton on March 27 when she struck the boy to discipline him. Documents say the boy fell to the ground and remained there for a few minutes.

Police also were looking for another employee suspected of striking children at the same facility.

A woman answering the phone at the facility declined to comment Wednesday.
