PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say a freighter ran aground in the Delaware River between Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The Coast Guard reports that the 600-foot Liberian-flagged bulk carrier Agia Irini was heading south when it reportedly lost propulsion.

The ship ran aground at about 2 p.m. Wednesday near the Burlington-Bristol bridge. No injuries or pollution were reported.

Officials said a 65-foot Coast Guard cutter responded and the ship was refloated. They said it would be taken to safe anchorage for further investigation.
