TROY, Maine (AP) - Maine state police say they’ve charged a 16-year-old boy with murder in the death of a Troy man last month.

Detectives have been investigating the death of 49-year-old Steven Hodgdon since he was found unresponsive in his home early on March 8. The state medical examiner’s office said he died from a stab wound to the chest.

Police say the teenager was arrested in Lewiston and transported to the Waldo County Jail.

Because of his age, the boy’s name wasn’t released by state police. The teenager will make his first court appearance Thursday or Friday in Belfast.
