MACON, Ga. (AP) - Bibb County authorities say an escaped inmate was captured at a Macon nightclub.

The Telegraph newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/1FHHP6w ) Ishmael Christopher Williams was caught around 1:30 a.m. Thursday. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says Williams faces an escape charge.

Authorities say the 20-year-old claimed to be sick on March 20 while he was doing community service at Lake Tobesofkee. While on a work truck headed back to the jail, authorities say he acted as if he was getting sick and got out when the truck stopped at a red light. He then ran into nearby woods, taking off his jail shirt.

Online jail records showed Williams being held Friday on $650 bond. The records don’t show whether he has a lawyer who could comment on the charges against him.
