DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - An Ozark teenager has received a 25-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to the murder of a high school student.

Joseph Martinez Rodgers pleaded guilty to murder Thursday as part of a plea deal.

The Dothan Eagle (https://bit.ly/1DRcK2J ) reports the 16-year-old was one of two people charged in the killing of 17-year-old Christian Alexander Markoff on Feb. 2, 2014.

Rodgers was 15 when the shooting happened but was charged as an adult.

Dale County District Attorney Kirke Adams said an ongoing investigation into the death may result in another arrest.
