PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Allie Long scored two goals and the Portland Thorns won their NWSL season-opener 4-1 over the Boston Breakers on Saturday night.

Sinead Farrelly and Mana Shim also scored for the Thorns, who drew 13,386 fans to the match at Providence Park.

Trailing 2-0, Stephanie McCaffrey scored for the Breakers in the 63rd minute with a blast past Portland goalkeeper Michelle Betos.

Long scored her first goal in the 71st minute, then got another shot past Breakers goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher just 45 seconds later for the brace.
