HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Parks and Wildlife has reopened the Byers Canyon Shooting Range near Hot Sulphur Springs.

The shooting range resumed operations Wednesday. It closes each year after hunting season ends so big game animals can use the property during the winter without being disturbed.

The range is about two miles west of Hot Sulphur Springs. It’s open from sunrise to sunset seven days a week.

Supervision is limited but volunteers are often on duty.
