BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) - A Georgia man has been sentenced to 39 years in prison following his murder conviction in a shooting on the South Carolina coast.

The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports (https://bit.ly/1cBU1w7 ) that 28-year-old Walter Travoy Tucker of Atlanta was convicted and sentenced Thursday.

Tucker was the second man convicted in the shooting death of 22-year-old Quantize Greer in September of 2012.

Prosecutors say Greer and two other men went to a mobile home park in Burton to buy drugs. Prosecutors say the men were robbed and Greer was killed.

Travis Polite of the Seabrook community was convicted and also received 39 years after a trial in January. A trial date has not yet been set for the third defendant.
